Help Us Raise Funds for Our Tower Project
We Are Collecting:
Clothes: men’s, women's & children's, coats, shoes, scarves, handbags, wallets, fashion accessories, belts, backpacks, etc.
Household Textiles: bedding, comforters, blankets, sheets, towels, linen tablecloths, curtains, pillows, etc.
Small Household Goods: kitchen items (such as pots/pans, dishes, silverware, hand-held appliances, glasses, serving pieces), home decorative items, toys, games, small electronics.
Books: paperback, hard cover – all genres*.
*NOencyclopedias or text books
Media: media needs to be boxed separately.
REMEMBER: Value Village FUNDrive items can be dropped off at Ebenezer United Church on or before Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. (Call or email Susan ebenezer5000@gmail.com if you need to arrange a drop off before October 24.)
Our Goal: $500 to reach that goal we need to collect:
75 Large Bags (Clothes or Textiles~20 lbs/bag)
27 Medium Boxes (Household Goods~20lbs/box)
10 Medium Boxes (Books or Media~30lbs/box)

We are pleased to welcome Julian Munro (middle bottom) as our Minister in a two-year, half-time Supervised Ministry Education appointment.
They begin on September 1, 2026.
We are excited to support and nurture them on their journey toward becoming a minister in The United Church of Canada.

Our minister is Julian Munro. Julian (they/them) is doing a Master of Divinity and a Masters of Psychospiritual Studies graduating (May 2027) and has been approved by The United Church of Canada to continue their journey toward ordination. Julian will be with Ebenezer United Church for a 2-year Supervised Ministry Education (SME) term working as our minister since September 1, 2026.
Refreshments and fellowship All are welcome to stay and enjoy a warm drink and a friendly conversation. You just have to boil the water. Tea and instant coffee and hot chocolate are in the cupboard.

Thanks & Giving this October
Thank you to the UCW and others for bringing food to place at the Altar for Thanksgiving. The goods collected will go into the Good Food Box.
The Sunday School would like to encourage everyone to bring in non perishable goods on World Food Sunday October 18 to add to the YRFN Good Food Boxes which will be distributed October 21st.
Thank you for considering giving as an act of gratitude this October.
BOOST THE BOX PROGRAM The next date for pick-up of Good Food Boxes is October 21st. Please consider bringing some non-perishable food and personal items to help “boost” the boxes of fresh food from YRFN for families in need. Thank you.
World Food Sunday – October 18th (after Thanksgiving) Food will be collected during the 10 a.m. service.
Please bring in non-perishable food to support the Boost the Box program.
Offerings You may leave a monetary donation in the offering plate at the entrance to the sanctuary.
Food donations for “Boost the Box” may be placed in the office.
If you would like to be part of the PAR program, please speak with Jacquelin or leave a message at the office. Please indicate who the donation is from. Donations can be made at any time by e-transfer to treasurer@ebenezeronline.ca

SPLC Make a Will. In collaboration with Senior Persons Living Connected, Seniors And Law Enforcement Together, and the Toronto Police Service (42 Division), this seminar will discuss how you can create a simple will, appoint an executor for your estate, and more.

The United Church of Canada Foundation was established in 2002 to manage trusts and endowments to support the work of the church. A number of funds have been created. Congregations benefit from the Foundation in many ways including grants to support congregations for the service provided to their communities.
